Aputure announced a couple of new affordable Bowens mount modifiers for the COB fixtures. The Light Box 30×120 is a strip-style box that comes in at 1×4′ or 30x120cm & the Light Box 60×90 is 2×3′ rectangle. Both come with two diffusion fabrics, 45° Fabric Light Control Grid, and inner baffle.

The Light Box 30×120 has a tall and slim form factor that will be great for a backlight for two people or fill for full body. I like this design a lot as it puts soft light in just the right place without a lot of spill.

The Light Box 60×90 is a more traditional rectangle design but also shares the easy-to-pitch four-rod design.

The advantage of the 4-rod construction and Bowens Mount speeding is it is super fast to pitch and stores flat when broken down. These are excellent options for the COB point-source LEDs, such as the Aputure LS 120d and LS 300 series and the amaran COB 60/100/200 series. These modifiers will work with other Bownes mount fixtures as well.

The modifiers are priced extremely competitively. The Light Box 60X90 retails for $66, and the Light Box 30×120 $69. Both are available for preorder.
